Motorsport enthusiasts across Uganda are gearing up for the biggest adrenaline rush of the year as Lubowa Karting officially announces IGNITION, an electrifying go-kart tournament taking place on 1st June 2025 at the Lubowa Karting Track.
Touted as Uganda’s most thrilling karting competition yet, IGNITION promises high-speed action, stiff competition, and unforgettable entertainment, all packed into a morning-only racing spectacle. The event will feature three distinct racing divisions: the Junior Division (ages 9–13), Men’s Division (ages 14+), and Ladies’ Division (open age), ensuring racers of all backgrounds and skill levels get a chance to shine.

Each participant will battle through:
2 Practice Sessions
1 Qualifier
1 Final Race
Top performers in each category stand a chance to win exciting cash prizes, but for many, the real reward will be the glory of racing on Uganda’s most advanced karting track.
"Lubowa Karting is where Uganda comes to race, and the IGNITION tournament is the event that brings it all to life,” said Emil Ampofo, Managing Director of Lubowa Karting. “We’ve built this track for speed, safety, and spectacle — now it’s your turn to own it.”

More Than Just Racing
Adding flair to the competitive edge, IGNITION will also host a Celebrity Race, where local stars trade in their glamorous attire for helmets and race suits in a showdown that’s guaranteed to entertain fans. A live DJ set will keep the morning buzzing with energy, creating a true festival of speed and sound.
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Lubowa Karting to organize Uganda’s first-of-its-kind go-karting tournament,” said Aly Allibhai, CEO of Talent Africa Group. “Talent Africa will bring our signature energy and event production expertise to make this an unforgettable experience.”
